Winter storms, cozy blankets and some hot chocolate… this particular day it decided to snow like a bugger… I went with it.
This is our second Christmas here and we’re starting to settle in (takes me a while) it’s finally starting to feel like home.
Snow and vintage campers, seems to go hand in hand, don’t you think?
The weather did not cooperate that day… our little barn tree is hardly visible! But like I said, I went with it anyways. There is something beautiful about flying snow though, right? When you don’t have to travel anywhere that is.
That snow storm covered all of my carefully places sugar pine cones, styled just right I’d say, once the storm did it’s job.
Things were blowing and nothing was staying still… ribbons wouldn’t lay flat. Somehow that movement worked. My Grandmother’s snowshoes this year were “framed” with a rustic old beauty.
Once the (fastest) photo shoot was done, in I came… the coziness level was much different in here. It was time to wrap some gifts and enjoy this fire.
Later that evening after the storm was over… something magical happened, a real calm had settled on everything outside. I grabbed my camera and the magic glow of Christmas was just stunning.

Oh Laurie that looks BEAUTIFUL! Your porch looks great plus the added snow here and there – it looks like something out of a magazine! I bet seeing that tree lit up at night after the snow settled was definitely a wonderful moment, and you got to captured it!
Oh, you outdid yourself this year, wind, snow, blowing ribbons and all! I have to say that tree in the barn is just about the most Christmasy thing I’ve seen 🙂 Hope you enjoy your holidays!
