DIY vintage succulent centrepiece.

Hello Friends, welcome back to #12MonthsOfDIY Instagram challenge,  this month we are using faux florals but not just any faux florals… we are using some of the best quality faux florals I have ever seen. This month’s challenge is being sponsored by Afloral.com and I could not be happier with the product we received, amazing!

I’ve been wanting to use this vintage scale as a floral centrepiece since I first received it as a birthday gift from Mr. He really gets me, isn’t it just beautiful!? Don’t worry if you don’t happen to have a scale, you can make an amazing centrepiece in almost anything.

Materials you will need:

  • Round floral form (I cut mine in half)
  • An assortment of faux succulents, in varying colours, shapes and sizes  (I used a combination of what I ordered from Afloral and what I had in my stash, I may have an obsession with succulents and by may I mean I think I need an intervention)
  • Glue gun (with glue sticks)
  • Scissors
  • Some decorative stones (mine are from the dollar store)
  • Reindeer moss (bright green)
  • Spanish moss (dried)

DIY steps :

  1. If required cut round floral form in half and place it in your container (mine fit perfectly in the scale’s pan once it was cut in half)
  2. Arrange and play with your faux succulents until you are happy with how they look, this may take a bit of arranging don’t worry though the floral form is very forgiving
  3. Once you are happy with the layout take the succulents up one at a time and hot glue them into place on the form
  4. Once all of your succulents are glued in place wind some Spanish moss in and around your arrangement
  5. Fill any bare areas with reindeer moss and finish off the centrepiece with decorative rocks

Simple as THAT and just in time for some Fall vignetting I’m doing around here, stay tuned for that post.
