My Catch #3

Jaws AntiquesMy 3rd stop of the day was just down the street, no moving of the car! Awesome!!!

Jaws Antiques… Interesting name! I had read some reviews on this place and was excited to get some deals…

The contrast from my last stop to this place was evident right away! It was packed with everything from retro TVs to a brilliant 1920’s (ish) red ball gown, this store had it all right down to the creepy dolls… Nothing was impeccably merchandised and yes there was a layer of dust on everything, yes there were cobwebs, but this place if you have the time is worth a dig through… I’ve been around, in a manner of speaking, I’ve shopped a lot of antique places, this one would do just fine for me on this day…

He has two parrots, one friendly the other, not so much… Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t an attack parrot, it has bitten a couple of people that have tried to get in his personal space… I could relate, I’ve felt like biting those close talkers my self… 😉 I left them alone and they returned the favour!

Lets have a look at what I saw here…

Buddy Truck | Vin'yet Etc. Creepy Doll | Vin'yet Etc.

Red Ball Gown | Vin'yet Etc.

She stood out… A Grand Lady in a Dingy place, sounds like a bad movie! 😉

Diamond in the Rough | Vin'yet Etc.

Please don’t take my minimal amount of pictures as a lack of enthusiasm for this store on the contrary! It was getting to be late in the afternoon and by this time and I was getting tired, hadn’t eaten any food since breakfast (lesson learned, I’ll keep snacks in the car for days like this)… This owner is willing to barter, and he’s a character to talk to, a very nice man who left his shop to carry my purchase to my car for me… You will be able to find a goody or two here, I pinky swear… I’ll go back for sure!

Dusty Bits | Vin'yet Etc.

My catch…

TLC please | Vin'yet Etc. I plan on refinishing this table, going to try my hand at painting with chalk paint and guilding. Bud doesn’t see the potential at all in this little guy, I aim to prove him wrong, besides those feet are just cool!

Glass Light Cover | Vin'yet Etc. This glass light cover was cheap, cheap… I don’t have a light for it, but I am planing to use it as a glass cloche of sorts… Cute eh?

GlassFlowerFrog |Vin'yet EtcThis vintage glass flower frog (strange name for sure) will be used on my desk for pens… I may look for a bottom but for now it’s fine as is…

Thanks for following me on this adventure so far! Please feel free to let me know what you think? Are you curious about my next and final stop? I have posted in order of visits, and as it turns out I do literally get to save the best till last! Stay tuned!
