Shopping Your Home – Thrifting With The Gals!

ShopYourHouseThriftyGals-14

Each Wednesday on Instagram The Thrifty Gals get together and go thrifting! The Gals hit up their favourite thrift shops and antique stores, it’s so fun watching their stories and going “virtual-thrifting” with them. I just love seeing all of treasures they end up brining home and what they do with those goodies is always just perfect!  Last month I joined them on the “hunt”, it was SO much fun! Today, I’m joining them again in a little blog hop and we are all sharing our thrifty haul last month. Want to meet the gang?

My Thrifting Adventure – Shopping Your Home

ShopYourHouseThriftyGals

Here in Ontario, Canada we are still in lockdown, sadly the thrift and antique stores aren’t open.  When I joined the ladies as a guest host I did the next best thing, I shopped my home!  More specifically I shopped my barn and restyled a cabinet in our home, it was  such a blast.

You can see more from inside of the barn with this quick video I saved from my Instagram stories.

Styled Cabinet with Thrifted Goodies

I’m pretty happy with the way the cabinet came together and best of all I had everything on hand.  I’m really loving those springs, they are just a wonderful addition to a vignette. Springs were a barn find.

Thrifted letter trays and wooden bits add such warmth to a vignette.

The chippy door panels add some real interest to the background of this cabinet, another barn find.

I love gathering my collections together in one place.

I can’t resist barber brushes  while out thrifting… the “can’t resist” list is a long one, HA!

Do you love to go thrifting like we all do? The thrill of finding that perfect vintage piece, the thrill of the hunt –  it’s my happy place for sure!  I miss thrifting, big time! However thrifting with the gals has totally helped fill that void a bit.  Thank YOU all so much ladies for having me as a guest host, I hope I can thrift with you again really soon!
