Springtime Vignettes – Cozy living

Springtime vignettes - Vinyet Etc

Our Cozy Living series is back for March, yay! I must say this every single month but, what the heck? Where did February go? Thank goodness Jennifer from Town & Country Living created this cozy living series, I’m afraid that I wouldn’t even know what month it is if it wasn’t for this wonderful series and this group of talented ladies! <3 You can see all their cozy March posts at the end of mine, you definitely don’t want to miss all that inspiration! xo

New green plants always makes things feel more Spring like.

I must warn you, there are lots of spoilers in this post – so dramatic I know! 😉 What I mean by that is I have two Spring home tours coming up later this week and the Spring vignettes I’m showing here are in those tours, you just may get some sneak peeks. I adore vignettes, shocking I know but you may have already guessed that from my blog’s name. How do vignettes tie into cozy living or hygge, glad you asked that! HA! Sometimes when the home tours happen the cute vignettes are completely missed, I won’t stand for it – who’s with me?!  hahahaha Sorry I think I may need to have another coffee, feeling a little silly. Anyway, back to the vignettes… how are they cozy or even hygge? We don’t go over board with too many seasonal things, nothing like Christmas… but we do like to lighten, brighten and add nature where we can.

These vintage trophies have to be one of my favourite little collections.

I love this little pressed leaf… she’s a fake – I took it off one of my faux plants.

If you look back at my first post for 2018  you’ll see that I plan to add more Hygge to my life and decor is a huge part of what makes me happy and makes my home cozy, it’s how I express my creativity, how I make our home feel welcoming – by making my vignettes more intentional and using only things I really love I’ve simplified and created a space that makes us happy.

Lighter fabrics and brighter colours help it to feel like Spring around here.

Does Spring cleaning and dusting count as Spring decor, no? HA, just edit your display shelves and add some greenery – it’s so simple but helps lighten the space.

Our home is neutral and cozy, we love the little pops of green, layered textures and all that wonderful wood – surround yourself with what you love and you will always feel in season.

Thank you for coming over for a “visit”, make sure to tune back in next Thursday and Friday for our Spring tour(s) – hopefully this will make Spring appear a little faster – one can hope!

I’m so looking forward to seeing how these ladies have incorporated cozy for March – go check them out.

Laurie, you have the coolest collections! Sometimes I wonder if I spend too much money and time on “stuff” for the house – cuz it’s just “stuff.” But I really like what you said – that creating vignettes is how you express your creativity. It’s like creating a still life – in real life. Looking at it this way, I’m no longer calling my stuff “stuff.” I’m calling it art. 🙂

I’m so glad you found inspiration in what I said, it’s true if your home and the things in it make you happy then there is no harm done! Being creative and displaying my treasures, for me is like dancing like no one is watching – it fills my soul. xo

I love your mix of stuff and especially the things that have sentimental meaning to you. That’s precious.
