Vintage Inspired furniture ~ hall tree

We are terribly excited to introduce our very first piece of Vin’yet Etc. furniture…  and we are equally as happy to be sharing this building journey with you.

For those of you that don’t know us, we’ve been building and DIYing since we first got together, WAY back in 1982! Actually, our very first DIY was reupholstering the doors in a 1974 Dodge Dart (such a classic car).

YIKES, that was many, many moons ago. What started out as necessity (young and broke) has snowballed into building and designing our own pieces, reupholstering a car was just the beginning… since then we’ve built and refinished everything from tables, entertainment units, benches, trunks, just  name it we’ve built, refinished, restored and repourposed it. What truly started as necessity has grown into a true passion, both of us love to design, build and fabricate. And now, we’ve decided to continue to do what we love and to share it with folks that are into what we are into, kindred spirits.

Without further ado…

Vintage doors turned hall tree | VIn'yet Etc.

32″ (w)  x 14″ (d)  x 81 1/2″ (h)

This practical little number is built from vintage doors, reclaimed and refinished 1″ thick cedar boards make up the beautiful bench seat that also pivots on a piano hinge for hiding storing your hats, mitts, scarves, bags, any of the “stuff” that causes clutter and needs a “home”, the addition of a mirror where there once was glass makes this hall tree perfect for that last glance before leaving your home.  Traditional styling, highlights this striking hall tree, an ideal addition to any room that requires that extra storage and function. Not only does it fit into a smaller foyer, but this hall tree would look awesome in a larger mudroom and would be a brilliant addition to a lovely bedroom, really the perfect solution for ANY home.

HallTreeCollage | Vin'yet Etc. It’s been lovingly refinished and distressed with a smooth chalky paint, buffed, sealed and hand rubbed with wax.  All of that in addition to the vintage touches that include the door knob, skeleton key and vintage inspired hooks make this hall tree an original and unique addition to your home, providing both function and beauty.
