Antique Salt Glazed Stoneware Blue Bowl – Scientific Electric

Description

This RARE antique salt glazed stoneware blue – “Scientific Electric” (bottom marked) bowl with a hand holding lightning or electricity is in spectacular condition.

Dating to the early 20th century, this bowl is debossed on the bottom with, “Scientific Electric” surrounding a Fist Holding Lightening Bolts and has tabs with a metal handle.  These bowls were usually given away to help promote the introduction of electric stoves in the early 1900’s, amazing!

Body Condition:  Excellent antique condition, beautiful blue colour.   The overhanging rim  has a single 1/8″ chip, not sure if this was from the manufacture as it looks just as aged as the entire rim. There is no evident crazing, no hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration evidence.  Please see all photos as they are part of the description.
