Can you even believe it’s August all ready, why does summer go so quickly???   It’s that time again friends, the first Saturday of the month means I’m hanging out with my cozy loving friends.  This month I’m styling with vintage wooden pieces. I know you must all be shocked by that! 😉  Last month I shared some decor Ideas and how I use Vintage wooden Bowls,  this month I’m sharing more styling ideas with vintage wooden pieces. To say I’m obsessed with all of the wonderful tones and textures of wood, would be a huge understatement!

Styling With Vintage Wooden Pieces

Styling With Wooden Vintage Pieces

It’s no secret that I love anything wooden… vintage wood makes my heart happy – yep, I’m a weirdo! These wooden crates that are hanging on our walls were a $5 find, they are simply the perfect size for this tiny corner in our kitchen.  Wooden smashers / mashers, wool spindles, wooden wheels and a beautiful mold – I love to balance out all of that wood with vintage pottery,  and colour, and plants too of course!

Wooden mashers are a fairly new obsession for me, I love how they add such an interesting visual feature. Okay, let’s talk about all of the wood… notice that even with almost everything being wood there are so many different tones and textures, some with a darker stain, some with chippy paint, it all just seems to work together.  I literally can’t leave wood behind while I’m out hunting.

This corner is one of my very favourites in our home, I just found that wooden cabbage slicer in my latest picking adventures. I knew that hanging it on the wall would be a perfect place for one or two of my plant babies, the wood and aluminum combo is so pretty.

Old wooden tool boxes are another favourite and are also  must haves, they make perfect “shelves” for all the pretties!

The wooden tray on the crock is actually from a vintage tool box, it adds another surface for me to use.

Are you attracted to anything wood? I am finding endless ways to use all of the vintage wooden pieces I bring home, I hope that I’ve inspired you to look at vintage wooden pieces in a new way while you’re out treasure hunting.

Thank you so much for stopping in, I appreciate you all being here SO much! Please now, won’t you go see what all of my Cozy Living friends are up to for August.

Yes! I love wood. Lately I’ve been drawn to vintage wood furniture like dressers and such. I love those mashers and I can’t believe you found those crates for just $5 each!! I wasn’t going to go to the flea market this weekend but now you have me wanting to go! Great post, Laurie!
