Hello Friends, welcome to a very merry vintage Christmas! Today I will be sharing a little corner of Christmas vintage with you and I am joining in with some buddies over at  Creative Vintage Darlings. We will be sharing how we use vintage goodies at this special time of year, you can see more from them at the end of this post.

Vintage Christmas Corner

This is one of my favourite corners in our home, I adore displaying my vintage goodies here and at Christmas time, well let’s just say it makes me all kinds of happy!!!

I’ve added some extra Christmas touches to this corner with the paper garland, my special vintage ornaments and pops of red! The most treasured thing in this corner is the dried silver dollar flowers tucked into the flower frog on the wall, they were my Mom’s she has had these in a shoe box since 1981. They were extremely special to her because they were a part of my Grandmother’s funeral bouquet. I know she’d be very pleased that they have finally found a home.

They are so precious!

I am in LOVE with the paper garland this year, it adds such an awesome touch… I made these garland with my vintage piano rolls, sewing the round punch-outs together, I love the colour and the movement and well just everything about them!

So cute… can I leave them up all year?  Everything here is vintage except the candle sticks and the twinkle lights, the vintage Avon steer is perfectly at home here too, don’t you think?

Let’s peek inside… I’ve decided to use orange and blues this year in my Christmas decor… not your typical colours, but I am loving the warmth it is adding to this season.  Special family photos and vintage treasures fill our shelves.

I love to collect the unusual and anything with Canada on it, I’m kind of a sucker for it.

Vintage books are a must, these have an extra special gold leafing on the page edges, I couldn’t resist them! Would you have snagged them too?

My Great Grandparents, my Grandparents and Bud’s uncle Billy are the heart of this cabinet, they are cherished pieces in our home.

Channeling my buddy Laura over at OneHouse2Barns by filling  wooden things with all the vintage ornaments, I love it and must tell you I don’t have nearly as many as she has… time for her to share some with me I think! 😉

I love your little curiosity shop of vintage treasures, Laurie! We that love vintage are so connected to the stories, to the history, to the time-earned character of each piece. What a treasure to still have sentimental pieces from your family and to add your own unique artistic creations to it. Your piano paper garland is awesome. I just pulled out my rolls last night and am going to imitate you somehow:) Thanks for sharing your special corner with us!

I love how there is so much to take in, each piece with it’s own little story and meaning behind it. What a beautiful space to sit in and enjoy ❤

Love, love that garland! I have some piano rolls, I’ll have to make myself a garland… maybe stars or hearts!! Your corner is just beautiful with all the pretty Christmas touches and family history :0)
